1) If you could choose just one, what was your favorite moment from the wedding weekend?

If I must choose one of my favorite moments of my wedding it would be the moment I took to myself just before walking down the aisle. I made sure everyone in the wedding party lined up properly and sent them off. I stood next to my father and listened to the sound of Norah Jones singing Love Me Tender and took in the moment. I wasn’t nervous and felt the most confident in my life. I knew Jesse was right for me. A few deep breaths and I held my father’s arm and walked around the cedar trees to walk up the aisle to my future.

2) Did you use WedPics for your wedding?  If so,  tell us a little bit about why you chose to use Wedpics and how did it work out for you?

I did use the WedPics for our wedding and glad that I had. I saw the WedPics app and decided to give the idea a try. I know in the past the old wind-up cameras were available at the receptions to take pictures of guest at each table. The WedPic app is the new version of this and I was able to see/share the pictures instantly. I sent the app request to my friends and family at least 2 weeks before our wedding and slowly revealed photos of my wedding party and preparations. I am very happy that I got to see photos of all different angles by my guests.

3) What kind of personal touches did you add to your wedding?

There were many different personal touches of mine in our wedding but my favorite was one I had added last minute for my husband. I was having trouble deciding on what kind of limousine I wanted to transport me and the wedding party to and from the reception. After a visit with my Uncle Kevin, he suggested to ask members of our community to drive their classic cars. After a few phone calls we got 6 classic Chevrolets from 1955 to 1962. My husband was very surprised and loved the late addition.

4) If you could give one piece advice for future couples planning their wedding, what would that be?

My one piece of advice is to always remember the love you and your husband-to-be share. The wedding, whether big or small, is just to celebrate your love for each other with your family and friends. Many brides may get over whelmed with the planning to make sure that everything is perfect, but need to step back and remind yourself of this. I once asked someone close to me what is the most important part of the wedding and they said “the decorations, the music, and food”. I quickly responded with “the most important thing to me is Jesse showing up and saying I do” the rest will all fall together and we won’t dwell on the imperfections. Enjoy the love between you and your spouse and have a great life together.

1) If you could choose just one, what was your favorite moment from the wedding weekend?

Although there are many favourite moments, the one favourite moment for us was once the ceremony was completed, our family and friends were gathered with delicious food and good music. A wedding is such a happy time and it was perfect having all our family and friends from all parts of our lives in one room enjoying the most perfect day with us.

2) Did you use WedPics for your wedding?  If so,  tell us a little bit about why you chose to use Wedpics and how did it work out for you?

Yes, we chose wedpics because we wanted all of our guests, from home or from other parts of Australia to be connected. People who have not met each other before began to know each other through wedpics and sharing pictures from our wedding day. Using Wedpics was fantastic, I was able to take a break throughout the night to look at all the awesome photo’s our friends and family have been sharing with each other. Loved being able to see our wedding from the view of our guests. Loved WedPics!

3) What kind of personal touches did you add to your wedding?

We wanted our guests to feel and share the day as if it was a day out with us. Instead of formal sit down ceremony we had a picnic set up instead, we wanted our guests to feel as relaxed as possible. Each guest had their own picnic set up for them at the ceremony.

4) If you could give one piece advice for future couples planning their wedding, what would that be?

Relax. I remember feeling stressed and worried. When you get to your wedding day, that’s it, you’ve done all you can. Instead of worrying about what if’s, that hasn’t been done, this needs to there…. forget it all. Your wedding day will be the most happiest day, take it and enjoy it, its gone in a split second!

Food Truck Wedding Reception

Thinking of doing something a little outside-of-the-box for your wedding?  A popular trend of trading in your traditional, formal reception dinner service with the more informal food truck option has taken off across the country.  Food trucks create a more relaxed atmosphere for your guests while often times offering your guests a more eclectic food menu.

Would you consider Food Trucks for your wedding?
