Wedding Cocktails : Bottoms Up! Let’s Get Creative!

Now obviously a wedding is the celebration of two individuals uniting as one, but let’s not dismiss what a lot of guests also consider it: A PARTY!  And what’s a party without a nice variety of wedding cocktails!  If it can fit your budget, here’s some great recipes for the yummiest of libations:

Strawberry Sparkler – This simple cocktail is not only delicious but just looks great! It’s pretty pink color and fruity garnish make for a beautiful display.

Recipe: (For one cocktail)

– 2 ounces of strawberry infused vodka

– 2 ounces of simple syrup

– 2 ounces of fresh lemon juice

– Top with sparkling wine and garnish with strawberries and mint

Recipe (for one cocktail):

– 1 1/2 oz. SKYY Infusions Pineapple

– 1 1/2 oz. fresh squeezed orange juice

– 1 oz. guava puree

In an ice-filled shaker, combine all ingredients, shake and strain into an ice-filled scorpion bowl. Garnish with a floating orchid and pineapple. Accessorize with straws.

Popsicle Champagne – Refreshing & Fun!

Add a little fun to the standard distribution of Champagne at your wedding. Have your bartenders keep frozen ALL-FRUIT popsicles on hand.  Popsicle goes into the glass first and then pour Champagne over it.  Voila!

Strawberry Moonshine Julep – Did you say Southern Wedding? We got you covered!

Recipe (for one cocktail):

2 large ripe strawberries, washed, hulled and cut into ¼–inch pieces

– 2 tsp. sugar

– 3 leaves fresh mint

– 2 oz. moonshine or white whiskey, like Original Moonshine

– ½ oz. lemon juice

– Sprig of mint, for garnish

Combine cut strawberries, sugar, mint leaves in a cocktail shaker. Stir and let stand until strawberries are macerated, up to 10 minutes. Add moonshine, lemon juice, and ice to fill the shaker, and shake vigorously for an additional minute. Pour out contents into mason jars, adding more ice as needed. Garnish with a sprig of mint.

Cucumber Gin Cooler – Sophisticated, Unique But Oh-So Refreshing!

Recipe (for 4 cocktails):

– 8 oz gin (like Hendrick’s, which has a slight cucumber flavor)

– 8 tbs fresh lime juice (from about 4 limes)

– 1/2 cup thinly sliced Persian or Kirby cucumber, scrubbed but not peeled

– Tonic water & Lime wedges, for garnish

Fill four glasses halfway with ice. In a cocktail shaker, combine gin, lime juice, cucumber slices, and a small amount of ice. Shake vigorously for 1-2 minutes, and pour into ice-filled glasses, making sure cucumber slices are evenly distributed.  Top with tonic water; garnish with a wedge of lime.
