Every so often, I see a gorgeous wedding that just oozes romance; and it's not because of the details, or the flowers, or what type of dress the bride is wearing (though all those things are nice), it's because of the couple. When a couple is utterly in love and they have a truly meaningful wedding day... well, that's all anyone can wish for, right?
Be and Myke were married in Tilden Park in Berkeley, under a canopy of trees and surrounded by only the closest family. This truly was an intimate day, which made Be and Myke's romantic forest wedding even more memorable. Captured beautifully as always by Jerry Yoon Photographers, keep reading to see more of this special day...
A few words from the bride:
I loved having a small/intimate ceremony. My four sisters were my bridesmaids, the groomsmen were my husband's brother, cousin, and my cousin, our two nephews walked down the aisle, and the officiant is my brother-in-law. It was a total family affair.
But of course that was also the challenge because other relatives and friends were offended they were not invited. It was also a challenge picking a day that works for my husband's family (all from Orange County) so we got married the day before he graduated from college since they were already planning to attend the graduation ceremony.
One of my sisters saw the wedding backdrop online and I spent several days with the bridesmaids making it. We used wax paper to make the cones and sewed it with embroidery thread.
[After the ceremony] We celebrated at La Mediterranee and had dessert at my friend's house close by. We are having a reception/banquet next year in Southern California.
Well brides and grooms, how sweet is Be and Myke's woodsy and romantic forest wedding? Let us know in the comments! Big thanks to Jerry Yoon Photographers for sharing this special day, and congrats to Be and Myke!
