There's nothing quite like starting the week off right, so we're going to cut right to the chase with these elegant DIY wedding in Florida. Ashley and Bryan and perfect for each other, and there's no denying that they also have amazing taste; they were able to pull off one of the most elegant DIY weddings we've seen on a tight budget!
A few words from their talented photographers at Wayfarers Photography:
"Ashley met Bryan when they both got cast in a theater production of The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Backstage romance blossomed and soon they were inseparable. Several more shows and five years later Bryan decided Ashley was his perfect co-star and he proposed on a sunset cruise in the Gulf of Mexico.
The wedding was an "all-hands-on-deck" labor of love. With a small budget and big dreams they harnessed the creative talents of those involved and DIY'd almost everything from top to bottom."
Read on to see more of Ashley and Bryan's big day!
The biggest "oh my gosh, is this going to actually work" moment? When the best man's shirt didn't come in the right color and they didn't have time to exchange it. As a last-minute fix, the maid of honor was convinced she could "tea stain" it to the proper color and it worked flawlessly!
The most unique detail of the day were the framed mirrors that had the wedding program hand-painted on the glass. The wording alluded to their history in the theater, where it all began.
The most touching moment was when Ashley sang "Always" by Scott Allen to Bryan during the ceremony. There wasn't a dry eye to be found among the guests who were seated in a semi-circle around them.
With the gorgeous Lake Morton in the background, they set aside a few moments during the reception to feed the resident swans and watch the sun fade on their first day as husband and wife.
Le sigh. That's just the most perfect and elegant DIY wedding you've ever seen, right? That last shot of them at the sparkler getaway — I die!
Big thanks to The Wayfarers Photography for sharing this gorgeous day, and congrats to Ashley and Bryan!
