When it comes to gorgeous weddings, the Aussies know how to do it right — seriously! We don't like to pick favorites, but some of our most-loved weddings on the blog have been from down under. Today's wedding is yet another example of a beautiful Australian wedding that takes our breath away. Paula and Tom's wedding ceremony was an intimate affair which took place in a barrel room, and the reception that followed was a totally sophisticated and elegant celebration at a yet another stunning winery location.
The couple's wedding day was a luxe white and gold country wedding with a slightly rustic feel — and it came together perfectly with the help of the bride's family, friends and great team of vendors. Captured by Aweiding Photography, you'll want to see this special day from start to finish!
Some words from the bride to start us off...
"The theme for the day was gold luxe with a country feel. For the ceremony, Tom and I had vision of creating a warm and intimate space that could hold 150 people. The barrel room at Fergusson winery was perfect, as it was almost a blank canvas that had cement floors and barrels lining the walls. We were able to fill it with everything we wanted; festoon lighting, candles and flowers. It felt so romantic and luxe."
What was your favorite memory of the big day?
"The father daughter dance: My Dad is a really country-Aussie kinda of guy. I chose the song "Brown Eyed Girl" for our dance, which he use to sing to me when I was younger. When the song started he came rocking in, and sung the whole way through. It was a really nice memory."
How simply stunning are Paula and Tom? Every bit of their day was perfection from start to finish. Congrats to the happy couple — make sure to Pin your favorite memory of the big day to keep the inspiration going!
